Les systèmes de navigation développés par Safran Electronics & Defense constituent des équipements critiques permettant la détermination en temps réel de la position, de la vitesse et de l'attitude de porteurs civils et militaires (terrestres, marins, aériens, spatiaux). Ces systèmes reposent notamment sur les technologies suivantes : capteurs inertiels, récepteurs GNSS et des architectures hybrides combinant plusieurs sources de données. La définition des exigences système est une étape fondamentale, dont la validation (vérification de la clarté, de la non-contradiction, de la testabilité…) est obligatoire, rigoureuse et suit des normes stirctes. Actuellement, cette validation repose sur une analyse humaine basée sur une checklist exhaustive. Ce processus, bien qu'efficace, est chronophage. L'objectif de ce stage est de développer un outil d'aide à la validation basé sur l'Intelligence Artificielle Générative (LLM) pour automatiser le premier niveau de revue des exigences. Sous la supervision d'un Ingénieur Système Architecture, vous serez chargé(e) de concevoir et de qualifier un prototype d'outil d'analyse automatique d'exigences. Vos missions se décomposeront en quatre phases : 1. Étude et Spécification (Analyse) • Analyser la checklist de validation actuelle. • Définir les items prioritaires (quels sont les items de la checklist qui sont le plus susceptibles d'être automatisables) (à faire avec le tuteur). • Rédiger la spécification fonctionnelle de l'outil. 2. Développement de la Solution IA (Implémentation) • Récuperer un LLM (Large Language Model) fonctionnel, interne à Safran. • Implémenter une stratégie de RAG (Retrieval Augmented Generation) pour permettre au modèle de s'appuyer sur le référentiel normatif et technique de Safran (et du produit plus particulièrement). • Optimiser le "Prompt Engineering" pour garantir des réponses structurées et justifiées (l'IA doit expliquer pourquoi une exigence est invalidée). • La solution (idéalement développée sous Python) devra particulièrement déterminer les inputs et outputs de chaque exigence. Elle devra aussi s'assurer de la bonne spécification des flux. 3. Qualification et Validation de l'Outil • L'outil étant utilisé pour un système critique, sa fiabilité doit être prouvée. • Constituer un jeu de données de test (exigences "correctes" vs exigences "erronées"). • Rédiger un Plan de Test et exécuter les campagnes de validation (mesure de la précision, du rappel et du taux de faux positifs). 4. Déploiement et Documentation • Créer une interface utilisateur simple (type application interne). • Rédiger le guide d'utilisation et le rapport de qualification final.

Safran Electronics & Defense est l'un des leaders mondiaux des systèmes de navigation pour les applications civiles et militaires, sur tout type de porteur (sous-marin, navire, char d'assaut, avion, hélicoptère, lanceur, satellite…). Une centrale inertielle est un équipement dont le but est de fournir à chaque instant sa position, sa vitesse et son orientation à un porteur (dont les types sont variés, de la fusée Ariane 5 au sous-marin, en passant par les avions et les moyens de transport terrestre par exemple). Une centrale inertielle est constituée entre autre : • de capteurs inertiels (3 gyromètres et 3 accéléromètres) permettant d'estimer la quantité de mouvement subis par le porteur, • de capteurs non-inertiels (baromètre, odomètre, loch, récepteur GNSS, caméra, …) améliorant la localisation du porteur à l'aide d'un algorithme de fusion de données. Les modèles mathématiques décrivant l'évolution des grandeurs fondamentales calculées par les systèmes de navigation (position, vitesse et attitudes) sont non linéaires. Il s'agit d'une contrainte très forte pour le choix de l'algorithme de fusion de données utilisé dans les logiciels de navigation. Une solution très répandue est l'utilisation d'un filtre de Kalman Etendu. Cet algorithme se base sur une étape de linéarisation des modèles autour de l'état courant estimé. Ceci rend la précision de la localisation sensible aux erreurs de linéarisations liées à l'erreur sur l'état estimé. Certains cas opérationnels conduisent à des problèmes dits de « fausse observabilité » dégradant sensiblement la précision des centrales inertielles. C'est pourquoi, de nouveaux types d'algorithmes de fusion de données plus adaptés aux systèmes non linéaires sont à l'étude. Le but de ce stage est d'étudier un algorithme innovant appelé « filtre de Kalman Invariant Etendu » (Invariant Extended Kalman Filter en anglais), développé par Safran Electronics & Defense et Mines Paristech, dans les systèmes de navigation. En s'appuyant sur les travaux précédemment menés sur ce sujet, le travail consistera dans un premier temps à adapter et implémenter cet algorithme sur un simulateur de centrale inertielle et à analyser les performances atteintes. Dans un second temps, tester cet algorithme en temps réel sur une centrale inertielle. Vous serez intégré dans l'équipe de développement des centrales inertielles pour les porteurs terrestres et marines. Vous serez accompagné par des experts pour développer vos compétences.

Étudiant-e en école d'ingénieur ou équivalent, bon mathématicien avec des bases en informatique, électronique ou systèmes embarqués. Vous avez des connaissances en programmation (C, C++, Python), en robotique, en automatique et/ou en systèmes embarqués. Vous travaillerez sur du traitement de signal et du filtrage de Kalman. Les outils de simulation seront de type Matlab Simulink . Curiosité, rigueur et capacité à travailler en équipe. Vous avez une bonne capacité d'analyse et de synthèse et êtes autonome. Descriptif du stage et des missions : Dans le cadre de l'évolution continue de nos logiciels, il est essentiel de garantir la non-régression et d'identifier facilement les écarts de comportement entre différentes versions d'un logiciel à la suite d'une évolution. Le processus actuel de comparaison manuelle des résultats est chronophage et source d'erreurs. L'objectif du stage est de concevoir et implémenter une solution automatisée permettant de comparer, de façon structurée et chiffrée, les résultats de différentes versions d'un logiciel, sur un ensemble de scénarios de test. Le processus d'intégration continue (CI) répond à cette problématique. Il permet de générer une des résultats des tests réalisés, ainsi que des écarts observés entre chaque version, illustrés par un ensemble de figures qui permettront à l'opérateur de déterminer si ces écarts sont cohérents des évolutions apportées. Objectifs du stage Les objectifs lors de ce stage sont les suivants : • Recueillir et formaliser les exigences auprès des équipes techniques et métiers, • Compiler automatiquement différentes versions du logiciel présente sur GitLab, • Concevoir une IHM simplifiant l'utilisation de l'outil, • Adapter l'outil a différents projets, • Assurer la documentation et la formation des équipes à l'édition et l'utilisation de l'outil développé. Your Role As a Test and Development Engineer at Safran Electrical & Power you will work with the latest in aerospace technology to plan, organise and execute testing to support the development and qualification tests performed on Safran products. You will support maintenance of the current and qualification testing capabilities, ensuring the team is always a step ahead with innovative testing processes and systems. You will perform data analysis of test results, utilising your analytical capabilities to assess trends in the data and identify any product concerns, offering solutions to any issues. • Performing Electrical, Mechanical development and qualification tests on Safran electrical and Power products using high speed drives in conjunction with electrical, electronic and mechanical equipment and analogue and digital instrumentation. • Carry out mechanical and electrical testing of Safran Group products. • Mechanical equipment maintenance and installation. • Hydraulic circuit construction, using solid and flexible piping. • Installing system wiring in test cells, both high and low current. • Modify existing test rigs to accept new equipment / components. • Mechanical assembly of prototypes / development units.

What You'll Bring • An Engineering-related qualification (mechanical or electrical) and experience in electrical or mechanical development activities. • Ability and knowledge of test rig assembly and testing using a range of laboratory instrumentation and computer packages. • A level of development / certification knowledge and experience e.g. basic understanding of aspects of Development Engineering including Compliance Verification, Technical Risk, compilation of technical documentation, and use of instrumentation. • Able to follow procedures and clear instructions whether working independently or as part of a team. • Have a positive attitude and flexible, proactive approach to all aspects of work. • Ability to work under pressure to meet program deadlines. • Desirable - A basic knowledge of rotating machines, 3 stage and permanent magnet machines • Desirable - Experienced in Data Acquisition System and Analysis tools (i.e. Dewesoft, Labview & DasyLab) At Safran, we understand that diversity and inclusion make teams stronger and more effective, and as an organisation, we are committed to fair and equitable employment practices for everyone. Job Summary: The Sr. Systems Engineer is a key member of a cross-disciplinary team driving the design, development and execution of the pilot control, actuation systems, and cockpit solutions program for the next generation of military and commercial aircraft. The Systems Engineer works on the development of new products, and the improvement and sustainment of products. Engineering duties will span the entire product lifecycle, from initial design and requirements capture through manufacture and field support. Essential Job Functions: • Participate in the planning, design, development, and verification of systems. • Evaluate customer and operational needs to define and coordinate system performance requirements, integrate technical parameters, and assure compatibility of all physical, functional, and program interfaces. • Implement verification and validation of system requirements with proper flow down and traceability for system and hardware components. Create test plans and schedules; develop test procedures and supporting documentation, execute verification tasks, and demonstrate requirements verification coverage. • Perform interface development, documentation, compliance, and system integration to ensure system success. • Provide trade studies and impact analysis, failure analysis, and modeling. • Review customer specifications and determine compliance to requirements and statement of work and/or note exceptions. • Ensure the timely and efficient completion of projects to achieve the company's strategic and financial goals. • Design new products and modify existing products to support customer, manufacturing, regulatory, industry standard, and market requirements. • Provide technical support, interact, and collaborate with cross-functional teams, including design, manufacturing, quality, testing, program management, suppliers, and customers to resolve problems and implement solutions. • Evaluate design changes for impact to product design, cost, and schedule. Will be an integral member of program Change Control Board's (CCB) to review the preparation of documentation with the end goal of system qualification and product certification. • Participate in new product development process to support design for manufacturability, design for cost, preliminary and critical design reviews. Identify and analyze potential failure modes and recommend design improvements. • Other duties may be assigned.

Education/Experience: • Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, aerospace, electrical, engineering technology, manufacturing, industrial, mechanical, or systems engineering. - 8 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities • Must be a self-directed individual requiring minimal supervision • Demonstrated ability to think critically, identify root cause and propose effective solutions • Understands and is proficient with engineering documentation requirements, and engineering analysis tools. • Knowledge of the practical application of engineering science and technology. This includes applying principles, techniques, procedures, and equipment to the design and production of various goods and services • Knowledge of industry and regulatory standards, policies, and compliance requirements. • Knowledge or experience in aerospace, electrical, or mechanical systems • Understands the safety and environmental implications of architecture decisions required for aerospace applications. • Ability to work closely with internal and external customers at engineering and management levels with minimum supervision • Experience presenting technical plans or speaking on technical topics to project teams, customers or other groups as required • Adhere to safe work practices and contributes to the evolution of the health, safety, and environmental program and culture • Knowledge or experience with one or more of the following areas: electrical, software, mechanical, or electronic system design, analysis and qualification. • Experience with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) using tools such as Cameo or equivalents. • Proficiency in using a requirement management software tool (such as DOORS) for requirements capture and management. • Knowledge of the practical application of engineering science and technology. This includes applying principles, techniques, procedures, and equipment to the design and production of various goods and services. • Strong understanding of system engineering development processes, such as ARP 4754 or IEEE 632. • Knowledge or experience with Matlab/Simulink/Simscape and their application to system modeling, performance, and design, preferred. • Experience with DO-160, ARP4761, and MIL-STD-810 preferred. • Familiar with Advance Product Quality Planning is a plus but not required.
