Job description

We are seeking a highly analytical and technically skilled Senior Data Analyst specialising in Advanced Analytics to support enterprise performance and decision-making across Safran's global Actuation business.
This is a hands-on analytical role focused on interrogating complex datasets, validating business information, developing meaningful performance metrics and applying statistical modelling, predictive forecasting and scenario analysis to identify risks, uncover opportunities and improve business outcomes.
The successful candidate will be equally comfortable investigating data quality issues, developing sophisticated Power BI solutions and building analytical models that help senior leaders make better-informed decisions.
Working closely with the Head of Project Planning & Controls, Project Controls Architect, and Project Controllers and Digital, the role will support the evolution of Safran's enterprise decision capability by developing analytical models, improving data confidence and enabling a transition from retrospective reporting towards predictive performance management.
The role will also support the organisation's journey towards advanced analytics and Artificial Intelligence by establishing robust analytical practices, improving data quality and developing scalable decision-support capabilities. This represents an exciting opportunity to shape how one of Safran's largest global business units uses data as a strategic asset to improve performance, delivery confidence and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
• Develop analytical models that support executive and operational decision-making.
• Validate enterprise data and identify trends, anomalies and performance risks.
• Design and maintain executive dashboards, KPIs and performance reporting.
• Develop predictive analytics supporting programme delivery, resource planning, cost performance and portfolio management.
• Perform scenario analysis and business modelling to support strategic planning and investment decisions.
• Collaborate with business functions to understand analytical requirements and translate them into practical solutions.
• Support data quality improvement by identifying inconsistencies, missing information and opportunities to improve confidence in enterprise data.
• Work closely with the Enterprise Data & Information Lead to ensure analytics are built upon trusted and governed information.
• Support the development of AI-enabled decision-support capabilities by preparing analytical models and structured datasets.
• Promote a data-driven culture through coaching, analytical best practice and business engagement.
• Identify opportunities to automate reporting and replace manual analysis with scalable analytical solutions.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives by measuring business outcomes and identifying opportunities for performance optimisation.

But what else? (benefits, specificities, etc.)

Looking after the people who make Safran great is our priority. We offer a range of flexible benefits designed to support you—both in and out of work, including:

Competitive salary and annual bonus and pay review

25 days' holiday + bank holidays

• Bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Data Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Computer Science, Business Analytics or a related discipline.
• Demonstrated experience analysing complex business data within manufacturing, engineering, aerospace or similarly regulated industries.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capability.
• Experience developing executive dashboards and performance reporting.
• Advanced experience using Power BI, SQL and Microsoft Excel.
• Experience interpreting complex data and communicating insights to non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong understanding of data visualisation principles and business performance measurement.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
Qualifications - Desirable
• Knowledge of statistical analysis, predictive modelling and machine learning techniques.
• Experience working with Microsoft Project Server, Microsoft Planner or enterprise planning systems.
• Understanding of data governance and information management principles.
• Experience supporting enterprise transformation initiatives.
• Experience using analytical programming languages.
• Experience with cloud-based analytics environments.
Personal Attributes
The successful candidate will possess a strong analytical mindset combined with genuine curiosity about how organisations operate.
They will be capable of translating complex data into clear business insight, challenging assumptions through evidence and communicating recommendations with confidence at all levels of the organisation.
They will enjoy working collaboratively across multiple business functions and demonstrate a passion for improving business performance through trusted information, predictive analytics and continuous learning.
