As a trusted global leader in aerospace, defence, and space, we are proud to be a company where diversity, innovation, and opportunity come together to shape a sustainable future where we can all succeed together through a shared vision.

Safran Landing Systems are a global leader in aircraft landing and braking systems, from commercial and business travel to military and defence fleets.

Our expertise covers the entire life cycle of our products from end-to-end; Design, Engineering & Manufacturing, through to Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO). The Gloucester OE site has been at the forefront of landing gear technology for over 85 years, dating from the innovative designs of Sir George Dowty to advanced landing gears for the world's most modern aircraft today.

About the Role:

Join Safran Landing Systems and play a key role in ensuring supplier capability, compliance, and performance across our global supply chain. Working closely with suppliers and internal stakeholders, you will support supplier development, materials compliance, industrialisation activities, and continuous improvement initiatives to ensure quality, delivery, and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess, approve, and develop supplier capabilities and performance.
• Conduct supplier product, process, and system audits to ensure compliance.
• Support new product introduction (NPI) and the transfer of parts across the supply base.
• Drive supplier improvement initiatives using APQP, PFMEA, PPAP, and Lean methodologies.
• Collaborate with manufacturing and engineering teams to support industrialisation activities.
• Evaluate supplier risks and support supplier selection and approval decisions.
• Maintain supplier quality and approved vendor databases, ensuring data accuracy and traceability.
• Build strong relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders to deliver continuous improvement.
• Support cost, quality, and delivery performance through supplier development and validation activities.
• Travel within the UK and internationally to assess and support suppliers.

But what else? (benefits, specificities, etc.)

Looking after the people who make Safran great is our priority. We offer a range of flexible benefits designed to support you, both in and out of work, including:

• Competitive salary
• Early finish on a Friday
• 25 days of holiday, plus UK Bank Holidays, and we offer options to buy or sell days
• Annual bonus and share scheme options
• Pension scheme, with up to 8% matched contributions, and life assurance at 4x your salary
• Onsite parking, including EV chargers, a subsidised restaurant, bicycle storage, and shower facilities
• We offer a wide range of flexible benefits and working options (role dependant), enhanced maternity and family friendly benefits, because we know everyone's needs are different
• We support your ambitions with training, development, a personalised career plan and mobility opportunities.

Candidate skills & requirements

What You'll Bring:

We're looking for someone with a strong understanding of aerospace materials, supplier management, and manufacturing processes, who can confidently work with suppliers to drive compliance, capability, and continuous improvement across the supply chain.

Essential Skills & Experience

• HNC, Degree, or equivalent qualification in Materials Science, Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, or a related discipline.
• Strong knowledge of material manufacturing, forging, and casting processes, particularly titanium, high-strength steels, and aerospace-grade aluminium.
• Experience working with raw material suppliers within aerospace or other highly regulated industries.
• Experience conducting supplier audits and assessing supplier performance and capability.
• Working knowledge of AS9100, AS9102, APQP, PFMEA, PPAP, and DVI methodologies.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and manufacturing process documentation.
• Proven ability to build effective relationships with both suppliers and internal teams.

Additional Information

• Regular UK and international travel is required to support supplier audits, NPI activities, and supplier capability assessments.
• Flexibility to undertake short-notice travel in response to quality or supply chain challenges.

We know that some candidates may be put off applying for jobs where they don't meet 100% of the criteria outlined in the advert. We encourage anybody to apply if you can demonstrate a variety of skills and experience relevant to the requirements of this role.
