Parlons de votre future mission

The Materials & Processes Department is a transverse team providing Materials & Processes expertise on a wide variety of subjects to a broad range of internal customers across all SLS divisions.

This role requires both excellent management skills and a high degree of technical understanding related to materials and processes. The role will steer major initiatives in the M&P department globally, particularly related to efficiencies and new technologies, and will lead the development of a team on a new M&P location.

Key Responsabilities :

1. Develop a specialist team of material engineers in a new M&P location.
2. Drive global M&P efficiency and cost reduction projects to completion with measurable results.
3. Support and lead wider SLS resilience and efficiency projects related to M&P activity.
4. Support root cause analysis, with local M&P managers/specialists, concerning M&P related issues within manufacturing and implement processes, tools, guides, training etc. to ensure nonrecurrence and the stabilisation of production.
5. Deputise for the VP M&P when required, including central DM&P activity.
6. Act as the Senior manager in TRL reviews and ensure focus is given towards industrialisation / MRL (Manufacturing readiness levels), establishing clear links with the industrialisation teams to ease role out of new technologies.
7. Develop the relationship with Safran Tech, ensuring regular reviews are undertaken and projects are clearly defined and kept on track.
8. Lead the R01 expert network within SLS, ensuring critical skills reviews are undertaken supported by the M&P leads for Materials and Surface treatments.
9. Support supply chain activity, including ‘plateau forge' during the supplier selection process and pragmatically resolve technical issues alongside the material experts. This may include overseeing longer term monitoring activity to ensure suppliers remain stable.
10. Promote collaboration and engagement across functions, divisions and Safran businesses

The above list is not exhaustive and as a senior role within the M&P department it is expected that other duties will be undertaken as necessary to support SLS.

Mais encore ? (avantages, spécificités, …)

This role is hybrid and can be adapted to the local process utilised on the hiring site.

Possible travel worldwide, with more frequent travel to the developing M&P site with its location to be determined.
